You got this!

Over the weekend I got asked, "How do you hear kids when they are in the back of the car while you drive?" I was taken back with this question as right now I get about 90% of what my kids are saying while we are in the car and it feels natural for me. But then I reflected on my hearing journey as a whole, and for me to hear everything I do now has been 22 years in the making. So to the one that just got a cochlear implant a month or two years ago, keep practicing and working on your listening skills as one day, it will feel like 2nd nature. In my 22 years of hearing with a cochlear implant, I have learned patience is key and don't compare with others.

Really, you got this!

I love this photo of me teaching my kids about my @advancedbionics sound processor.
