Time To Fall In Love, Over and Over
For the last few months, my wife has been wanting to do a major change to her hairstyle. She would show me many ideas and end with, "would you still love me, if I looked like that?" I always assured her that I would love her no matter what. I never wanted to be the husband that told her what kind of hair she is supposed to have, life is too short for that type of mentality. After weeks of thinking about it, she finally got the courage and set up an appointment with a good family friend at Trim-A-Hair. The night before, we did a little shoot to show the "before" style and had so much fun with the anticipation of this new cut and style.
The next day, she arrived at her appointment where Amy began to chop off lots of hair. The result was stunning and amazing. Heather texted me photos of her new hairstyle and I love it. Throughout the day, I was listening to Lindsey Sterling's album, "Warmer In The Winter" and one song stood out to me, "Time To Fall In Love ft. Alex Gaskarth."
As I was walking into the house from work, I was able to catch her playing with the boys through the crack of the door and right there I was falling in love with her all over again. Not only for her new hairstyle but the courage to step out of her comfort zone and do something she has been wanting to do for some time. For the rest of the night, she glowed with more confidence and excitement of this newfound change. It was a reminder that each day is a perfect "Time to Fall In Love" just as sung in the song and that we all must step out of our comfort zone to learn to find new things about ourselves. Just because we are married does not mean we can't keep falling in love with each other. Rather, you need to keep finding those new little things to fall in love with. My wife and I have grown so much over the last few years and each day I am finding more things about her that I just fall in love with. Marriage is a journey and not just a destination.
May we all be able to find those things to "fall in love" with those whom we cherish.
